Graveney School, London
Client: Graveney School,
Date: 2002
Graveney is a progressive state school in south London, which received funding from the government to create an interactive multimedia lab for the 21st Century. They invited us to design an innovative and flexible teaching environment, incorporating state of the art technology. Through out the day the room is used by different year groups and teachers from IT to physics to media. The room is fully adaptable with mobile desks that can be positioned anywhere n the room, and are powered by flexi cables from above which plug into the side. The desks contain the individual computers, which are accessed through flip up lids carrying the screen. A multimedia wall at one end of the room contains a smart board, with supporting equipment concealed behind lockable panels. A raised teacher’s podium is fixed in front of the smart board, with a supporting mobile demonstration desk.
